Of bandage dresses and skirts

Herve Leger definitely introduced the bandage dresses which are a staple of any fashionista's wardrobe now. It has been around for quite some time and is definitely here to stay. Not only can bandage skirts can be paired with anything and everything, it also makes you sway around in a good-looking behind. Few celebrities who mastered the bandage style...

Deepika Padukone looks ravishing in this green bandage dress well teamed up with golden footwear and minimalist jewellery (just some ear drops)!

This grey bandage skirt only accentuates Kim Kardashian's to-die-for curves!

Katie Cassidy flaunts her cute behind in a mini red bandage skirt.

Priyanka Chopra is a delight when it comes to looking classy. The beige and black bandage dresses paired with black stilletoes add to her charm.

Megan Fox looks fabulous and red-carpet worthy in this Herve Leger bandage dress. And the shoes - just add more glam to her outfit.

Bandge dresses can also help you with the not so formal and red-carpet look - says Rihanna in her red and grey bandage skirt.

Our own Lara Dutta does a Megan fox with a peach bandage dress and golden heels. She looks beautiful nevertheless.

Statement Neckpieces I am lusting over this spring

Black spectrum short frontal necklace by Erica Lyons. Totally worth the $40.

Three-tiered shining crystals hung from a golden chain.

Laura Ashley's 16" two-toned pendant necklace

Tag - This or That

Here's an interesting game. I am sure you all are gonna love it as much as I am. Its called the Tag -This or That game. Have fun!

Makeup:
Blush or Bronzer? Bronzer for sure. But somehow I have never managed to get the J-Lo look :(
Lipgloss or Lipstick? Ahh, this one's easy. Lipstick anyday! Lipglosses are too sticky for my taste (tee hee)
Eyeliner or Mascara? I prefer the mascara since I don't have naturally pretty and thick lashes.. so need the mascara.
Foundation or Concealer? A concealer to hide those few little marks...
Neutral or Coloured eyeshadow? I prefer colour. Goes with my persona..neutrals are a bit too dull for me.
Brushes or Sponges? Sponges are good but brushes are so much non-messier.
Pressed or loose eyeshadow? Loose since I prefer to change it often.

Nails:
Long or Short? Long but somehow mine chip after a little bit.. its brittle <ah, my woes!>
Acrylic or Natural? Natural, of course. Fake nails are just too cumbersome!
Brights or Darks? I am inclined to say darks since I love black, maroons, reds, and browns.
Flower or no flower? No flowers please!

Body:

Perfume or Body Splash? Parfum anyday..
Lotion or Cocoa Butter? Hmm, this one's a toughie.. but I ll still go with lotion since I am not a huge fan of the stickiness of Cocoa Butter.
Body wash or Soap? Yes..creamy or citrusy body wash!

Fashion:

Jeans or Sweat Pants? I could live in Jeans
Long-Sleeves or Short?  Has to short or no sleeve at all.
Dresses or Skirts? Dresses I think since I am not too comfortable with multiple pieces of clothing.
Flip Flops or Sandals? Flip Flops - yes, I am too casual mostly.
Scarves or Hats? Scarves through winters..
Studs or Dangly Earrings? Dangly earrings - I can just pick up one and not think about any other accessory.
Jacket or Hoodie? Jackets for sure - lil piece of trivia about me - I ve managed to lose jackets year after year post college days!

Hair:
Curly or Straight? Soft curls or waves..hate the straight hair look!
Bun or Ponytail? A high ponytail..
Hair Spray or Gel? Hairspray that too rarely..
Long or Short? Kinda short..
Light or Dark? Definitely not dark - I was born with pitch black hair..oopsie!
Side-Swept Bangs or Full Bangs? Side-Swept Bangs it is for me!
Up or Down? Down preferably..though both look equally good on me  ;)

Random:
Rain or Shine? Shine has to be. I HATE rains!
Summer or Winter? Summer for the gorgeous weather..yeah, am a beach bum!
Fall or Spring? Spring it is!
Chocolate or Vanilla? Depends on my mood but mostly Chocolatee..

That's pretty much about it..why don't you start answering these and tag your friends too?

Celeb Style This Week

Well, this could actually herald the beginning of a section on my blog. How about having a celebrity style segment every week? Am sure we all have had our moments wishing for a particular one's look somewhere. So lets just put it all up here.

Here's the first one - Naomi Clark. She happens to be one of the most stylish ones on the TV show 90210. Seems to know it all! What is in vogue, what's not - she has it all figured out! And then this realization dawns, how about I show you what I mean.

Naomi looks stunning on the red carpet with this metallic slinky back dress which she has teamed up with mesh peep-toes and minimalistic accessories. Love the top bun :) so classy, aint it?

Her casual chic style could not any better. She oozes style and sexiness in a very effortless manner for sure. Who else could have teamed up a pastel-shade vest with denim shorts so well? The blazer, the flip-flops, the beaded necklace, the aviators - a very good example of how accessorizing could change the most monotonous and done-to-death look to a very chic one! Good goin' girlie!

This look is a personal favourite. How subtly sexy! I feel its a perfect for a lunch date with the boy-friend's parents or for the races. White pencil pants and blazer with a nude sheen top - it all adds up to the sheer classiness of this look. A watch, couple of rocks for rings and the ever-handy tote are thrown in perfect measure. Can you see the dash of femme fatale red nailpaint? Sure has added colour to this otherwise bi-chrome look. The wind swept locks are soo effortlessly stylish - it just makes me swoon over her attire. All in all, a perfect 10 on 10.

I like this look 'coz it goes a little old-school.Bare nude make-up with a dash of gloss gives a glow to Naomi's face. The peach-hued cardigan teamed up with the skirt (am not sure what texture is is !??) portrays a very serious no-nonsense kind of a look. Somehow the two-layered  pearls, though adding some zing to the outfit don't do much justice to Naomi's nude look. May be its the style of the pearls that's a little unfit. Nevertheless, a great effort at donning the serious look.

Ahh, that look! The dress <swoon swoon>. The curve-contouring bandage dress is a the latest this season. Many designers have adopted this style as the look of the season. Different shades of the same colour makes the dress look fabulous. The circle drop golden earrings are a good pick too. Naomi has been good with the make-up with a dash of mascara and lip pigment. The soft curls are again trending this season. So girlies and fellow bloggers, let me know if you have tried something like this! Send in the pretty pics..

So do you like this new segment? Let me know whom you want me review next..

A keeper of a handbag

This classic bag is a must-have for every working woman. Actually, you could carry it practically anywhere (not a night-out with the boyfriend of course) :). I got this bag from Aldo. Aldo hasnt been my favourite brand for bag-shopping but I just could not get my eyes off this one the moment I saw it.

Its quite an arm candy, isnt it? And of course, it is a keeper. I mean..what more could a woman possibly want? Its stylish, elegant, got enough room to carry lot of your stuff without looking over-sized, and I think its pretty timeless too. This style seems to be in vogue year after year.
And you would be pleasantly surprised if I told you I got this for a killaaa $32 only. Whoa, can you even believe that?

See what I mean. No questions asked - This one is a keeper!

Yours truly,
M
